Chinese Calligraphy Course for Beginners
Chinese calligraphy (the art of writing—书法 shufa), one of China's most well-known traditional arts, has long piqued the interest of both skilled artists and the general public.
Students will gain an understanding of the principles of Chinese calligraphy in this introductory course to ancient art. Through methodical hands-on practice with brush and ink, students will study the Chinese writing system and obtain a basic understanding and skills in Chinese calligraphy.
This course studies the aesthetic principles, historical growth, and intellectual metaphors that Chinese calligraphy embodies to increase students' understanding of Chinese art, people, and worldview, in addition to the immediate qualities of calligraphy as an art form.
