How to enroll (Please read before signing up)

  1. To secure your spot, please pay the registration fee.

  2. Once you have registered, you will receive an invitation to our Google Classroom, where you can find class updates and materials.

  3. Sign up for the class to become an official student. Your monthly payment must be set up before your first class. You do not need to make the monthly payment now. We will send you an email to confirm your registration first.

  4. You will receive email reminders before your first class, including details on when to arrive, the textbook, and the reading assignments.

  5. Refund: We will not issue a refund for any missed or unused classes.

  • As this is a group class setting, there will be no cancellations, rescheduling, or make-up classes. However, you may cancel your membership at any time.

  • Free trial lessons are not available for group classes.

  • All students must choose a designated class appropriate to their level. Students may transfer to a higher or lower-level class if seats are available.

Level 1 (HSK 1)

Level 1 is perfect for individuals with no prior experience in learning Chinese. This level corresponds to the first year of a Chinese course in college (Chinese 101) or high school (Chinese 1). We will be using the HSK 1 Standard Course for this level. A digital copy of the textbook will be provided after you officially enroll.

Students are expected to complete this level in 9-12 months.


Level 2 (HSK 2)

Level 2 is designed for individuals who have studied Chinese for at least 6 to 9 months and can achieve a score of 90 or above on the HSK 2 test. Students should be able to recognize at least 300 Chinese characters. It is expected that students will complete this level within 12 months. We will be using the HSK 2 Standard Course for this level.

Other levels and schedules

We only have a limited number of group classes available for in-person learning. For more advanced speakers, we have in-person and virtual 1:1 classes available. We also have more groups at our Midtown and LIC locations.

It takes us a few months to arrange a group class. If you cannot find a class that matches your schedule or proficiency level, please look at our other groups in Midtown and LIC. We also offer online classes if you prefer. We are always available to schedule one-on-one classes at any time.
